Halloween Cards!

Image
Well I've been a busy little beaver tonight and made several Halloween cards. I found these cute little stickers on sale at Michael's quite awhile back and finally sat down and created! I had a blast. I want to go back and get more. But they'd probably be gone. But I guess now it's time to post, make sure I have clothes for church tomorrow and then hit the hay! Hope you like them!

Anniversary Card

Image
Wow I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted. I've been extremely busy lately. Here is a card I did tonight for an anniversary. I won't say who because I don't want them knowing it's for them until they see it in person. I'm pretty proud of it. I've had the idea in mind for awhile and finally got it down on paper. It was fun to make. Today, or I should say yesterday since it is after midnight, was my grandfather's 93rd birthday. I made him a cute card too but I finished it within minutes of having to leave for his birthday dinner so I didn't have time to scan it. Until next time!

Ward Cleaver Retro Card

Image
I made a set of cards tonight using the Ward Cleaver stamp. I'm pretty pleased with it! I think it's my favorite I've done lately. But here are some other cards below it that I have done here recently as well! The printed paper is from the Manchester SU DSP. There more I work with it the more I love it! It really grows on you! Very retro style!

My Cute Log Book Cover

Image
Yes it is almost 4:00 a.m. and I've been up working on creations. And this is what I did tonight and I am very proud of! At BCFC I am required to keep a log book of all my learning and activities for Jim to sign-off on for when I go to be licensed to care for exotic felines. Before I was just keeping a spiral notebook on it that had a kitten on the front, but it was starting to get a little ratty. I also needed a binder to put in all my other paperwork such as grant applications I complete, the newsletter I help head-up for them and also public handouts I create. So I got a binder where I could make my own cute cover and this is it! When I finished it I actually squealed and scared Dave to death! He looked at me to see what was going on! LOL! I couldn't fit the whole page on my scanner but you get the gist of it. It's got bobcat ribbon on the right side as well, so it's like a mirrored image. But I wuv it! I'll have the cutest log book ever! LOL The pi

Jim's Birthday Card

Image
Here is a card I made tonight for Jim's birthday. He is turning 65 next Sunday. He is my teacher and mentor at Bear Creek Feline Center where I get the absolute pleasure of working with exotic and endangered felines that are unable to live in the wild. But anyway I made the card for all of the interns and volunteers to signed and I'm pretty pleased with it. I tried to make the silhouette of a panther because his "baby" is a panther named Dani. She loves Jim to death. It is really neat to watch them hug and snuggle and interact. (See below for one of my favorite pics of them!) And I'm so glad I've gotten the rare opportunity to be inside the enclosure with them and experience Dani up close. It's amazing! Anyway, I used only whisper white and basic black to create the card and the Happy Birthday is from Voila! set. I also used the ticket corner punch. That has to be my favorite punch right now. I love to layer colors and get that effect that the

Thinking of You Photo Brag Book

Image
Well last night I had some creative fun with two sweet ladies, my friend Kim, and her good friend Theresa. They came over for my pretty informal open house since everyone else bailed on me! :oP But I'm glad these ladies showed and we still had a good time I think and they aided in getting me out of pending! YAY! Anyway, we came up with our designs each for a photo brag book (using cellophane bags for holding the pics). I got this idea from Aunt Cindy after she showed me her cute one she did for Jennifer for Mother's Day. I didn't think to take pictures of all of ours together and I wish I had. I liked their books too! Kim did one for her son Jacob in her favorite bright primary colors and shapes, and Theresa did one for her grandson Dakota in baby blue and burgundy with turtles. But here are pics of mine! Thanks again Aunt Cindy! *HUGS*

Birthday Card & Gift Card Tin

Image
I made the card using the Stampin' Up Lucky Star embellishment sticker set. I like how it turned out and it was easy-peasy! I also made a matching gift card tin using the tin that the stickers came in.

Voila Chef Tip Jar

Image
Okay, Aunt Cindy told me I am too hard on myself about my creations, so I'll try to behave and be more positive. LOL But anyway, look at what I did tonight! I'm actually pretty happy with it. I used a plastic jar that previously had pork rinds from Sam's in it (bleck! - hubby's snack). And I cleaned it out because I liked the shape and because it's plastic, and also our change jar that I also made before was getting cracked and old, I knew it was time to replace it. So I took the jar and my favorite stamp set, and made a new change jar! Voila! Pun intended! LOL (The name of the Stampin' Up set I used) And made it a tip jar for the chef! And it's going to sit on my kitchen counter because I have other whimsical chef stuff that I collect as decor in my kitchen. I had a lot of fun doing it and actually pretty pleased. But the pictures I took of it tonight wouldn't come out as bright as I wanted but I think you can see it well enough in the pic

Thank You Cards

Image
Here are a few Thank You cards I did that I thought I would share. I really like how it kind of has a denim look. I think I have lots of room from improvement though still. But they were fun to play around with!

Bra Birthday Card

Image
This is a birthday card I made for a co-worker tonight. It's not what I had pictured and I'm not totally happy with it. But maybe she will like it. I really need to get a scallop circle punch and maybe I shouldn't have used white for the background. I don't know. Hmmmm....I'll probably try to improve on this idea again later.

Chef Birthday Card

Image
This is a card I made for my cousin for her birthday. I love this set and I think it has to be my favorite. And it's special to me because it is my first stamp set from Stampin' Up and was a gift to me from Aunt Cindy! Thanks Aunt Cindy for helping start my addiction! LOL

Father's Day Card Sample

Image
Here is the Father's Day card sample I made this year. I tried to make it masculine and kind of went a little overboard. The stamps are not Stampin' Up...shame on me, I know. But the hardware and ribbon is! I used the Hodgepodge Hardware (a lot of it!) and the Basic Black ribbon. I punched little holes in the brown bag-looking paper and it turned out cool. It kind of makes it look like peg board! (It's impossible to see on here.. :o( Sorry!) I re-did the card like three times but I'm still not quite satisfied with it.

My first entry!

Image
Welcome to my new blog! I'm hoping I'll be able to update it frequently with all my stamping and various craft projects as I complete them so that I can share them with you and hopefully inspire you a s well. I'm definitely not the most talented sometimes and make more than my fair share of goof-ups in what I do. But I still enjoy doing it and enjoy trying! For my first show-and-tell, this is a mini album/scrapbook I decorated from Stampin' Up. Some of the items used for it w ere not from Stampin' Up but the ribbon, the flower, the brad in the flower, a nd the pearls are from Stampin' Up. I had so much fun doing that and I got lots of compliments on it. I did it for my friend and fellow volunteer's birthday at the feline center. I was actually pretty happy with it. Below is a picture of the inside of it. And I'm sorry but the picture came out kind of blurry. But I added a personal message and used a stamp I bought from Michael's of a cute li
